Maryland State Delegate Natalie Ziegler (9A), a friend of the Howard County Braver Angels/ Braver Angels Central Maryland Alliance, will be hosting a Community Conversation at Damascus High School on Wednesday, December 10 at 6 pm. 

Attendees will participate in a structured conversation to share their thoughts, concerns, and ideas, and to listen to the perspectives of fellow community members. We’ll use a format similar to the World Cafe Method, breaking up into groups of four or five at a table with some prompt questions, and switching tables a few times. Discussion questions will include:

1. What is always on your mind these days? What is in the forefront of your thinking? What keeps you up at night? What are you most worried about?

2. What should we be aiming for? What are the issues of greatest importance to focus on?

3. How might we get there? What are some important actions that could be taken to make our community better?

The last Braver Network Gathering of 2025 is happening this Friday! We'll be sharing the new Vision and Mission for Braver Angels, and be joined by the new CEO of Braver Angels, Maury Giles! Maury will be sharing about BA's North Star journey and speaking about the Next Chapter of Braver Angels.

Here is a pre-read we recommend reading before the call, to start digesting the new direction of Braver Angels' work. We hope to explain what this means to Braver Angels, and explore the underlying values and principles that truly underpin this concept. Our goal is shared understanding AND exploration of shared values with you and your organization's work.

Here is the meeting agenda. This session will involve some active feedback using the Civic Exchange platform which involves a web app, and will be easiest to engage with if you are able to devote your full attention.
